This is concept artist Gabriel Anton writing to thank you for purchasing my most prized piece "The Life of Christ". As kind of a backstory to it all through 2006-2007 I felt God's call to compose a piece of art and draw the images of the events that stood out to me in Jesus' life and to present them as a dramatic depiction of each event in one piece. I had many other projects going at the same time but felt that it needed to be done. I looked up countless images online to give the look and feel as much authenticity as possible from the middle eastern city backdrop used in the temptation scene to the lit up garden where the Lord prayed. I wanted to capture the larger than life stories on paper as I viewed and felt them in my minds eye and as God inspired me. There were nights when I was working on the piece I became overwhelmed with the emotion and how I played the events of Christ's life in my mind. But I kept the pencil moving and after it was done I realized I had captured the essence of the greatest life ever lived and the greatest sacrifice ever made.
